ITT Bornemann GmbH specializes in the development and production of pumps and pump systems for oil production and processing as well as for tank terminals, chemical, pharmaceutical and the food industry, employing approx. 250 professionals.

For our finance department we are currently looking for a Site Financial Controller (m/f/d) located in Obernkirchen as a member of the site leadership team, an active participant in business decisions, strategic, contingency and financial planning (Key result: Profitable and growing business).

Grundlegende Verantwortlichkeiten

  • Strong Business-Partnership across all major departments along the supply-chain (production, manufacturing, engineering, HR, finance & controlling) providing input on financial impact of decisions, actively encouraging continuous improvement initiatives
  • Eager to challenge conservative financial management and willing to make colleagues rethink common practices
  • Provide leadership with significant business and financial analytical insight into site’s operation supporting profitability
  • Overseeing all financial aspects of the operation, highlighting and red flagging potential financial triggers and proposing courses of actions to steer the company into achieving its strategic plans and financial goals
  • Supporting investment analysis and reviewing major customer orders to ensure alignment with the growth & profit strategy. Credit risk assessment of external customers ensuring adequate financial worthiness.
  • Ensure timely & accurate submission of all monthly financial reports to IP HQ as well as ad hoc reports required by the BU CFO of EMEAI region.
  • Furnish timely and accurate forecast information – orders, sales, OI, OCF, Accounts Receivable, Inventory (Key result: All variances from forecast can be adequately explained)
  • Coordination of annual budget and strategic plans (Key result: Meeting or exceeding annual budget OI and OCF targets)
  • Contribute to long range systems planning and implementation (Key result: Continued improvement/efficiency in daily procedures and their accuracy)
  • Human Resources responsibilities include the quarterly performance reviews and management of co-worker development through the 70/20/10 VBLD learning process.
  • Actively enabling talent capabilities and supporting further development initiatives
  • Support achievement and timely and accurate financial reporting for TTI and GDP metrics, critical focus on velocity and “Lean” principles
  • Oversee and drive improvement in working capital performance
  • Support site Management on financial planning, and business decisions providing critical assessment of inputs. Lead operations team to meet/exceed forecast of monthly shipments and orders to compile outlooks and monitor capital expenditures. Provide financial evaluation and recommendations on investment proposals. Evaluate and prioritize productivity proposals for management follow-up
  • Maintain strong financial internal controls ensuring that appropriate systems and procedures are in place which provide for the necessary controls and safeguarding of assets and the efficient execution of financial activities, including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, FCPA, accounting standards and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate/facilitate internal and external audits (incl SOA & FCPA)

Positionsanforderungen

EDUCATION:

  • Requires Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA and/or MBA preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 10 years of financial management experience, with both financial and general accounting background in a manufacturing environment, minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with US GAAP and SOX is required, ideally experience in working in a US-company

 

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Excellent knowledge of the English language
  • Strong work ethic
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, financial planning and strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills, strong team player
  • Excellent computer literacy in MS office, profound knowledge of Excel OneStream, Hyperion, Essbase, LucaNet
