Positionsübersicht

The Infrastructure Services Manager will provide hands-on leadership in executing the programs, projects, and day-to-day operational responsibilities in delivery of infrastructure services for ITT’s Industrial Process (IP) value center. This person is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) services. For a person to be successful in this role, they will work with those within an organization around the world, as well as many others in a matrixed organization at the corporate level to ensure IT service delivery is effectively and efficiently executed.

The scope of this role includes not limited to wired and wireless data and voice networks, physical cabling, network security, servers, storage, voice services, telecom circuits /services, desktop services, multimedia systems (conference room AV), and other related technologies.

This role is responsible for supporting the business in day-to-day operations, as well as envisioning, recommending, and facilitating business changes to automate, streamline and ensure a highly available service offering for our internal and external customers. You will be providing expert infrastructure oversight, ensuring successful delivery and performance of IT services for the organization. Grundlegende Verantwortlichkeiten

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a small team of diverse personnel (location, skills, experience, etc.), regionally distributed in delivering day-to-day IT operations and support.
  • Establish and maintain a high-performance culture for your organization by ensuring team engagement, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to delivering value to internal and external customers.
  • Execute effective talent management activities including goal setting, performance reviews, individual development planning, succession planning, coaching, and issue resolution.

Strategic Infrastructure Management and project management

  • Drive and architect transformation initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments, leveraging innovative solutions to enhance IT capabilities.
  • Lead large-scale local IT projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of system upgrades, migrations, and installations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to design and implement strategic infrastructure initiatives.
  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, and upgrade paths of infrastructure in coordination with the corporate Enterprise Infrastructure Services team
  • Architect and implement scalable solutions to optimize our infrastructure for improved efficiency and performance
  • Regularly evaluate emerging technology trends and spearhead transformation initiatives to modernize infrastructure services.
  • Ensure infrastructure security aligns with industry standards and compliance regulations, in collaboration with ITT’s Cybersecurity Team.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Operational Excellence

  • Support both IT and OT environments with secure, resilient infrastructure solutions
  • Maintain visibility into incident, task, and request trends, using KPIs and data baselines to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to shift work left (e.g., to TAC, self-service, automation) to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
  • Partner with peers to modernize applications and services as needed.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee service level agreements to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Lead the rationalization and consolidation of services across sites, countries, and regions to reduce costs, improve service quality, and standardize user experiences.

Positionsanforderungen

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure or a related technical field.
  • Experience working in a large, multinational organization with diverse teams across regions with leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of server architecture, networking, virtualization, storage, and operating systems.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Virtualization platforms: VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V.
    • Cisco technologies: Routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers (WLC), RF planning, routing protocols.
    • Monitoring tools and performance metrics.
    • Scripting tools
  • Familiarity with IT and OT environments, including infrastructure security and compliance (e.g., SOX).
  • Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Ability to oversee and implement security measures for infrastructure-related data, equipment, and facilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and controlled data environments.
  • Experience working in a SOX-compliant or regulated environment is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • ITIL, Six Sigma, PMI or other project management certifications are a plus.
  • Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Microsoft Certified (Azure Administrator), or equivalent preferable
  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISM, or CISSP is a plus
