Positionsübersicht

 

The Head of Manufacturing and Assembly Hygienic Products is responsible for leading all manufacturing and assembly operations for hygienic pumps and valves. The role ensures the safe, efficient, and on-time production of high-quality products while meeting cost, quality, and operational targets.

 

The position provides leadership to production, assembly, and planning teams through their respective team leaders, drives continuous improvement initiatives, monitors key performance indicators, and supports strategic goals through workforce development, investment planning, and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Director Operations, the role plays a key part in achieving the company's operational and business objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the manufacturing and assembly of hygienic products (pumps and valves)
  • Ensure on-time production while meeting quality, cost, and safety targets
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor all production and assembly activities
  • Provide functional and disciplinary leadership for the department
  • Lead, develop, and motivate manufacturing and assembly teams through their respective team leaders
  • Manage workforce planning, employee qualification, and training activities
  • Promote a strong safety- and quality-oriented culture
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Contribute to departmental objectives, investment planning, and improvement projects
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and project progress
  • Represent the department during customer site visits
  • Ensure housekeeping, order, and cleanliness standards are maintained
  • Participate in operational and management reporting calls

 

Positionsanforderungen

Technical Competencies

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Alternatively, a technical vocational qualification with further education as a Master Technician/Technician and relevant professional experience
  • Several years of leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, ideally within pumps, process equipment, or hygienic industries
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing control and assembly processes
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of hygiene and/or pharmaceutical industry standards and regulations is an advantage
